Read Romans 15: 11-13, NIV

“‘Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; let all the people extol him.’ And again, Isaiah says, ‘ The Root of Jesse will spring up, one who will arise to rule over the nations; in him the Gentiles will hope.’  May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Read Isaiah 9:6

“For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.  And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Prayer:

“Father God, thank You for Your prophetic word through Isaiah of Jesus’s coming, and Your plan for all of us to fill us with peace and joy.  I pray that this Christmas season You would speak to me about what Jesus’s coming really means to me personally and prompt me through Your Holy Spirit how I might be an instrument of Your joy and peace through Him.  In Jesus’s name, Amen.”
