God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.
Prayer
Father, we are humbled by the fact You desire a family relationship with us, that it’s Your will for us to be Your sons and daughters. Not only do You desire this but You take great pleasure in it. As our celebration of Christ’s birth approaches, we rejoice in amazement at the truth of Your love. May we experience joy in contemplating Your glorious grace while we observe our earthly family’s excitement during this festive time. Enhance the awareness of our belonging to Your dear Son, as we commemorate His arrival in the form of a little baby. We are in awe of Your plan for us, Lord. We join with the angels in singing Your praise: Glory to God in the highest!
