Each week of devotions throughout our Live Worthy series on Ephesians will be spent on a single chapter. We encourage you to re-read the chapter each day. Additionally, we will focus on a few key verses each day. This week, we will focus on chapter 4 of Ephesians
Read Ephesians 4
Focus Verse: Ephesians 4:7 (NIV)
But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.
What exactly is grace?
According to Max Lucado, “Grace is God’s best idea. His decision to ravage people by love, to rescue passionately, and to restore justly.”
We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, yet God is willing to forgive us and bless us, even when we fall short of living righteously. We all receive different portions of grace according to our needs. We do not get to decide who receives grace or how much grace is given; that’s God’s job. We get to reap all the benefits, not only for ourselves but also the rewards that come from sharing the love and grace with others.
You are loved!!
Let’s pray for everyone we love:
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for all You have done and continue to do for all of us. We are grateful for Your grace that is given to us so freely, and when we are so undeserving. Your grace never runs out. Help us to use our grace portion and serve it to others so that relationships may be restored and Your love abounds. Amen
