Read: James 5:13 Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises.
As we look back on the writing of James, we see a handbook on how to live a life of faith. We may face trials and temptations in our life, but we can remember God has already overcome. Thank God for these times and ask Him to give you strength and wisdom to see them through. Be aware of idols – like money and worldly ways. Be generous toward others and rely on God to provide. Be slow to speak and always speak with wisdom. Be humble and patient with others and when that seems impossible, ask God for self-control. Live your faith. Being a Christian is not just a nomenclature, it is a call to action. Do good and serve others. Most of all, love God and love others and rejoice in what we have been given in this life and in heaven.
