Read Acts 15:36-41

Paul and Barnabas go their separate ways. By parting ways, both Paul and Barnabas seem to be acting in accordance with their own spiritual gifts and calling. What great examples of faith and willingness to trust in God with His greater plan! We continue to be encouraged in seeing the two carrying on, committed to their own personal faith and beliefs, separated but still following their God-given purpose.

Barnabas “the encourager” takes on John Mark as a new apprentice to minister to, so that he may learn and share the wonderful grace of God. Through Barnabas’ willingness to invest in John Mark and provide a second chance, I am reminded of God’s love for me and His willingness to provide me with additional chances when I mess things up. I pray this story and the life of Barnabas “the encourager” inspires you and encourages you to explore and grow deeper in your own faith!

Dear God, Thank You for being our own personal encourager. Thank You for never giving up on us. Help us to show this love and compassion to others today as we carry out Your plans. In Jesus Name, Amen
