Read Ephesians 6
Read: Ephesians 6:16-17 “In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
The last three pieces of the armor are crucial for victory. The Shield of Faith is a powerful tool to protect us from the devil’s attacks. It’s the conviction that God is who He says He is and will do what He promises. The Helmet of Salvation protects our mind. When the enemy whispers doubts and lies, our assurance of salvation gives us hope and security. Finally, the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, is our only offensive weapon. We use it to cut through lies and declare God’s truth. These are the tools God has given us to stand firm and to fight back.
Pray: Jesus, I take up the shield of faith to stand against every fiery arrow of the enemy. Protect my mind with the helmet of salvation and give me strength to wield the sword of the Spirit, your Holy Word. Help me to remember that I am protected by you. Amen.
