Each week of devotions throughout our Live Worthy series on Ephesians will be spent on a single chapter. We encourage you to re-read the chapter each day. Additionally, we will focus on a few key verses each day. This week, we will focus on chapter 6 of Ephesians
Read Ephesians 6
Read: Ephesians 6:10-11 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”
These verses mark a powerful shift. Paul has spent the chapter on practical relationships, but now he turns our attention to the unseen reality of spiritual warfare. He doesn’t say “be strong on your own” or “use your own strength,” but “be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.” This is a crucial distinction. We don’t fight this battle in our own strength, but in His. The Armor of God isn’t something we create; it’s something we put on, which is provided by God.
Pray: Almighty God, I confess my weakness. Help me to be strong in you and in your mighty power. I know that I cannot face the challenges of this world on my own. I choose to rely on your strength and your protection. Amen.
