Read James 4:8 TPT

Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. But make sure you cleanse your life, you sinners, and keep your heart pure and stop doubting.

There are 24 hours in one day…How do you spend them?

When I was in nursing school, I was asked to create a pie graph to provide an explanation of how I spent my time. Each day looked a little different, nothing was consistent in my life at that time.

Even my sleep schedule was unpredictable. I woke early, stayed up late, pulled all-nighters, and occasionally took 20 minute power naps like a pro.

There was no standard daily routine, nor did I regularly dedicate the same amount of time to  any given thing.  My life was anything but organized.

The only thing I did every day on my way to nursing school or on my way to work was PRAY! I trusted God in His perfect plan for my life. It wasn’t the same time every day, but at least it was EVERY DAY!

Daily discussions are important to God. He longs to hear from you. How can you give Him a few minutes of the 1440 minutes He has given you today?

Maybe you will choose to read Scripture or listen to a worship song and sing praises to the Lord.  Perhaps you feel the need to cry out in prayer, seeking Him and requesting strength at a difficult time. Maybe you prefer to journal, recording your thoughts and feelings. Whatever you do, I’d like to encourage you to do something to connect with your Savior – it will change your life!
