For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Thank you for subscribing to the Cross Creek Daily Devotions. It is an honor to share God’s Word with you. You may notice that the emails come early in the morning, before sunrise, perhaps even before you have to get up and start your day. What better way to begin your day than spending a few minutes with Your Lord and Savior!
I pray that I have caught you before the start of your day today! I want to encourage you to think about devotion and what types of things you are devoted to. For what things are you expending the most time and effort? The Bible tells us, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21
Where is your heart today? What is it that you care most deeply about? God wants to know…I’d like to invite you to share your thoughts and desires with Him.
Throughout the week we will be exploring ways in which we can devote ourselves to God and serve Him in a manner that honors the person He created us to be. Devotion to God is a conscious effort to learn more about who He is, communicate with Him and surrender ourselves daily to the work He wants us to do.
Daily Devotionals provided by Cross Creek Church are just one way of connecting to God. Some other ways of showing your devotion to God is through prayer, worship, reading Scripture and fellowship with others.
Start small, dedicating just a few minutes to God each morning… like you just did. Thank you for joining me. Have a blessed day!
My prayer for you is to be like David who cries out in Psalm 63 “God—you’re my God! I can’t get enough of you!”
Dear Lord,
Thank you for your constant presence. You are always here for me. I look forward to expanding our time together and drawing closer to you. Amen
