Lord,
Sometimes it is hard to be hopeful in such a broken world. All the poverty, abuse, addiction, and so many other broken facets of our world can be overwhelming to our hearts. We often feel ill equipped to do anything at all that will make a difference. But I think we sometimes buy into the lie that we are powerless, when we are far from powerless! Today I ask that you remind us of the power of Your Holy Spirit alive in us! Fill us with love and boldness to act in big and small ways. Help us to not minimize what we are able to do but to celebrate the ways You have created us and the gifts You have given us to be able to serve and love others in Your name. Help us to be confident and to look for Your goodness displayed through Your people as we wait on You. Amen.
