Read: John 8:12 NIV
Again Jesus spoke to them saying “I Am the Light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
This is an invitation. Jesus is inviting you to follow Him. He will walk with you, shining His light upon your path, guiding you every step of the way.
We are assured in Psalm 37:23 ERV: The Lord shows us how we should live and He is pleased when he sees people living that way.
When we walk with the Lord and allow Him to direct our steps, we receive His blessings. He shows us how we should live and He is willing to teach each of us through His Word. We have the choice to accept Him and His ways. It is as simple as asking Jesus into your heart and allowing Him to be the light of your life.
Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. Your Word says, “Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2:21). I am calling on You. I pray and ask Jesus to come into my heart and be Lord over my life according to Romans 10:9-10.
God, We thank You for sending Your son to die for our sins. He is the light that directs our path and shows us how we should live. Guide us through Your word, so that we may have a better understanding of Your ways. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen
