Focus Verses: John 6:67-68
“‘You do not want to leave too, do you?’ Jesus asked the Twelve. Simon Peter answered him, ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.’”
The crowds wanted Jesus to be their king because He could fill their stomachs, but when He spoke of deeper truths, many walked away. This miracle was not just about physical provision but about the eternal sustenance found in Christ’s words. Like Peter, we must recognize that there is nowhere else to turn—Jesus alone has what our souls truly need.
Pray:
Lord, when I am tempted to turn away, remind me that You alone have the words of eternal life. Keep me rooted in Your truth.
