How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young— a place near your altar, Lord Almighty, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you.
One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.
Pray:
Father in Heaven,
We praise and thank You for fellowship. We thank You and praise You for every precious life that walks through the doors of our church. You have blessed us so abundantly with our relationships with each other. We praise and thank You for teaching us how to love each other. Our church is not just a building, it is people devoted to building Your kingdom. Thank You for giving us the heart to do so. We praise and thank You for providing our church building as well. Our church is Yours, it belongs to You. We don’t need to invite You because we know that You dwell there. Thank You father for Your presence. We ask You to open our hearts to feel You as we worship. We ask that Your presence fills our church. A presence so heavy that our bodies and hearts would rejoice, and our lives be forever transformed. Transformed in a way that we would always seek You, and that we would be embraced by Your love. Thank You for never leaving us nor forsaking us. We pray this in Jesus Christ’s powerful name. Amen.
