And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
I’m a girl with a plan…well, most of the time. I work really hard to make sure things go pretty much according to that plan. But I have learned a few things over the years about the plans I make. 1. Things don’t always go according to my plan. 2. My plan isn’t always what God has in mind. 3. Any plan goes better when I remember that God is in control…and I don’t need to be.
I have a natural tendency to take over and “work my plan.” But when I do that… when I get so focused on what I think needs to happen, I leave very little room for God to speak into my life and even less room to say yes to any plan He has for me. Today’s verse reminds me that God is good all the time. It reminds me that He is in control, even if I am out of control. It reminds me that His plans are far better than mine and that if I will just trust Him completely, I can experience the blessing He has intended for me. His plan may not be the answer I want or the way I think He will move – but I will trust Him anyway. He is good and desires good things for my life.
