We continue with our devotional series “A Few of Our Favorite Things” where you’ll hear from some of our pastors and volunteers as they share how God’s Word has impacted them.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
This verse is one of my favorites because it is a great reminder to me that Jesus is always there and that He is in control. Nobody likes to have trouble in their lives but it is certain that we will. Through the words of this verse Jesus gives me hope for those difficult moments in my life, helping me to find peace when life doesn’t make sense or when my fears want to get the best of me. He reminds us that He has overcome – all is not lost!
