Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe,
Sometimes we can get caught up in the chaos that is our world. Especially lately. There are days when I just shake my head and wonder what in the world is going on?! If we aren’t careful we could be consumed by the ever-changing political scene and health crisis, ripping huge holes in our personal sense of security and stability.
But we were never meant to find our security in this world. Today’s verse is a reminder of the gifts of hope and peace that we have been given through salvation. We don’t belong to this world. We are heirs in a different kingdom. One where truth and love reign. One that isn’t swayed by politics or opinions. One that isn’t ravaged by disease. It cannot be shaken.
So focus your eyes in that direction today. In the direction of an unshaken kingdom – prepared just for us. Then give thanks! Praise God for that hope and rest in His peace today instead of feeling tossed by the chaos of this world.
