Read Romans 8:9-11 MSG
But if God himself has taken up residence in your life, you can hardly be thinking more of yourself than of him. Anyone, of course, who has not welcomed this invisible but clearly present God, the Spirit of Christ, won’t know what we’re talking about. But for you who welcome him, in whom he dwells—even though you still experience all the limitations of sin—you yourself experience life on God’s terms. It stands to reason, doesn’t it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he’ll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ’s![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text disable_pattern=”false” el_class=”devotional-text” css=”.vc_custom_1573237358439{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]As Christians, so many of us are content to just say we believe in Jesus and then continue on with life. We struggle and strain against sin and this world using our own strength and never really acknowledge the gift we have been given in the Holy Spirit. But, what would it be like if we took God at his word each day and really lived life on God’s terms? What if we released our iron grip on control and allowed the Holy Spirit to really deliver us from this “dead life”? Friends, there is so much power waiting for you! The same power that raised Christ from the dead is available to you…to resurrect your life and bring power to your steps and your actions.
Let’s seek to take God at His Word this week and allow the Holy Spirit to move in our lives in mighty ways so that we can really live in His power.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
