This week’s Core Values:
Love God – Love Others
Serving People Is Serving God
Read: Luke 12:33-34
Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Prayer: Lord, I treasure you, and I want my heart to rest in you. In this world, it is so tempting to store up treasures that make me feel good, but that won’t last in eternity. You showed us the way of the servant, and you invite me to live the same way today. Help me, Lord, to surrender my own needs, to trust your provision, and to extend to others the same radical love, hospitality, and generosity that you gave to me. Amen.
