Read: Mark 5:30
“At once, Jesus realized that power had gone out from Him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”
Jesus STOPPED. In the middle of the urgency of the crowd, surrounded by need, He noticed ONE touch of faith. Power flowed not randomly, but in response to belief. When I picture this scene, I imagine that He had people crowding around Him on every side, and His overall touch threshold was probably pretty maximized! Yet, He stopped and noticed the single touch from this woman whose faith was strong and unwavering.
This moment shows us that faith literally engages heaven. It’s not about striving, it’s about trusting enough to reach out and having faith that He is able!
God is not distant or disengaged from us. He responds to our faith. He responds to the smallest spark of faith that is based on our belief that He is able!
Key Point:
Faith activates what God has already made available.
Question:
Do I truly expect God to respond when I pray? What would bold faith look like in my current season?
Prayer: Lord, awaken active faith in me. Help me trust that You are present and responsive.
