Read Philippians 2:6–8
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!
God,
Thank You for the way that You have loved me! You are holy, humble and kind and even though I am far from that – You choose me anyway. I am in awe of Your desire to be with me…to redeem me…to save me. Thank You. Change my heart and help me to be more like You. Amen.
