Read Romans 1:20
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
Since the beginning, God has been revealing himself to us in all that He has created so that we might see him more clearly. Ultimately, His desire is that through creation, we would see His love and His care for us and the world, and trust Him. And so, in every ocean, mountain, bird, or bug…every sunrise or sunset, every storm and summer breeze, every giggle and every hug – we catch a glimpse of His goodness – designed just for us, so that we might really see Him and know His love for us.
This week we begin a series about recognizing God’s goodness and we’ll start by looking for it in nature and all that God has created. So for today, take a little time – maybe go for a walk or step outside for a few minutes. Let your body be quiet and your heart open to allow God to reveal Himself to you in a new way. Then spend a few minutes in quiet thankfulness for the way He displays His goodness to you.
