Read Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NIV
Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Lord,
Thank you for the brothers and sisters in Christ that You have given us. Help us to be mindful of the ways we can support each other, link arms with each other to make a difference, and show Your love to the world around us. Help us to take this responsibility to heart and to lean into the ways that you have created us to fit together as your Church. We pray we may not lose sight that, at the center of it all, we have You as our strength. What a comfort and a blessing it is to know we can live in community with each other and with You. Thank You for Your love. Amen.
