Read John 3:16-17 NLT
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.
God, the cornerstone of Your Gospel is the fact that You loved us so much that You gave. We do not need to give to You first in order to receive. You set the tone by giving us more than we could ever give to You. Your gift is one marked by a generous love.
After the recognition and acceptance of Your great gift of grace by faith, we are then given the charge to love others. The love that You have given to us is not meant to be held onto too tightly. We are not supposed to hoard what we have received. But we are also to give generously out of the abundance of love You have poured out on us.
Help that amazing love to shape all the aspects of our lives – from the words we speak to the actions of our hands. Let the love that flows from us be from grateful hearts desiring to show Your love to the world around us. Amen
