Read Ephesians 6
Read: Ephesians 6:12 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
This verse clarifies the nature of our battle. We can often get caught up in fighting with people—a boss, a family member, a difficult neighbor. Paul reminds us that the real enemy is not “flesh and blood.” The true source of strife and evil is the spiritual forces of darkness. Understanding this changes our perspective. Instead of fighting people, we can pray for them and against the forces that influence them. This truth frees us from personal grudges and directs our spiritual energy to the true source of the conflict.
Pray: Lord, open my eyes to the spiritual reality around me. Help me to see that my struggle is not against people, but against spiritual forces. Give me the grace to love those I disagree with and the wisdom to pray against the true enemy. Amen.
