Read Acts 3:1-8
Main Verse: Acts 3:6 “Then Peter said, ‘Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.’ ”
In life, it often feels like those who have great wealth or great talent are the only ones who can truly make a difference. It can be easy to get sucked into feeling like what you have to offer isn’t all that great or special. Our perspective gets a little skewed and we are unable to see how God can use us. We focus on what we lack instead of what we have. We count ourselves out because we seem like unlikely candidates.
Peter and John weren’t wealthy. They didn’t have what the lame man was looking for, but that didn’t stop them from offering what they did have. God was able to use them in a far greater way because they had the faith to use what they had been given.
What have you been given that you can use to serve God and to serve others? Don’t discount what God can do through you with what He has given you, no matter how small it may seem to you. God’s provision and blessings are often showcased best when we acknowledge what we can do and allow Him to do the rest. Step out in faith today.
