Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.
At my previous job, I had these verses taped to my computer as a daily reminder. Anybody else need this reminder as they get ready for another workday?
Work can be hard. It requires strength and discipline. What if we took on a different perspective when it comes to our jobs? What if we viewed Jesus as our boss? What would our work-day look like? How would we approach each task? As we think about this and prepare for the day, I’d like to offer some encouragement. “I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient; bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:1 Peace be with you!
