Read Hebrews 11:8
“By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.”
To step towards your destiny, you often have to step away from your security. Abraham understood this very well. He left all he knew, his home and his family, to go to a place he had never been to before. All because God told him to. This took tremendous faith. I imagine that he was terrified. Uncertainty can do that to you. But he obeyed and followed God’s direction not because of what he would get…but because of who he trusted.
Has God been calling on you to do something you are afraid to do? Have you felt His call on your life, but have not responded because of fear? Today is the day to listen to His call. Exercise your faith and follow Him.
