Read John 14-15
We have spent time in the Book of John learning about the life of Jesus. If you are just joining us, you can go back to the beginning of the Book of John and read all about the glorious signs of Jesus and who He is. I’m going to sum up the book for you right now, skipping to the last chapter.
The purpose of John’s Gospel can be summed up in John 20:30-31: “Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that in believing you may have life in His name.”
The Gospel of John was written to help us BELIEVE! To believe that Jesus is the Messiah. To believe that Jesus is the Son of God. To believe that we will all have life in His Name. It is ok if you still have doubts. I sometimes wrestle with faith and doubt. I am human. So are you. We are not God, but we are OF God and we can be FOR God. God has chosen you! And He is walking right alongside you providing everything you need. Won’t you allow Him to help strengthen your faith and overcome your unbelief?
PRAYER:
Dear God,
Thank You for Your Word and the seven miraculous signs recorded in the Book of John. We see Jesus’ great works and the ultimate sacrifice He made so that we are able to have a relationship with You. Please remind us of these signs the next time doubt tries to creep in and attack our faith. Lord, we trust that You will give us all we need to accept and have confidence in carrying out Your plans. In Jesus Name, Amen
