Read 2 Corinthians 5:7 NIV
For we live by faith, not by sight.
It is pretty easy to get caught up in what we see going on around us. We get lost in our circumstances, trying to make sense of the difficulties of the path that seems to be before us. We grasp at solutions based on what we see and try to muddle through to the best of our abilities.
Today’s verse is a good reminder of how God calls us to live. We can allow ourselves to be distracted and consumed by the circumstances we find ourselves in, or we can change our view. We can choose to live by faith. Living by faith might be changing to whom you look for answers. We can move forward solely on our own, based on what we see, or we can look to God. When we choose God, we are choosing to live in faith. When we live by faith we don’t get stuck in what we can physically see or handle, but trust in a plan designed by a creator who loves us.
