Daily Devotionals

January 8th, 2025

This week we will focus on preparing our hearts for our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. Each day we will focus on an aspect of prayer.  We will  ask God to soften our hearts and our minds to meet with Him and hear from Him during the 21 days we will spend in prayer together as a church.

Sometimes it is hard to know what to say in prayer. Using Scripture to help give your prayers words is a great option! Praying Scripture over our circumstances brings power, truth and encouragement to our prayers. The Word of God is one of the most valuable tools we have! We can use God’s Word to pray for ourselves, for others or any situation at hand. If you are looking for Scripture that connects with what you are going through you can search keywords on YouVersion (bible.com). The book of Psalms is also full of different prayers for various life situations.

Read John 3:16 NIV

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Prayer:

Dear God, You are so loving and generous in all Your ways. Thank You for sending Your Only Son to die for us, forgiving us of our sins that once separated us from You. Forgive us for the ways we continue to sin against You. We look to You for guidance and direction to repent and make changes. Help us to understand, believe and trust in Your promises. We deeply desire a relationship with You and are eager to learn more about who You are and Your Ways. In Jesus Name, Amen
