Read:
Psalms 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”
A few days back I talked about my friend Barb, who recently passed. She was a Godly woman who leaned into the Promises of God in her daily life and claimed them in prayer on behalf of herself and others. Her faith was strong as a result.
Why is the promise of Psalms 32:8 meaningful to us?
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 13:12 that
“For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.”
I like the King James translation of the first part of this verse that says “ For now we see through a glass, darkly…”
We need God’s counsel and instruction to understand our path clearly because He is the only one who sees it clearly. He is the only one who is all knowing and nothing is hidden from Him.
Therefore our moral path, our life’s path, our intellectual path, our emotional path will be so much more well lit by seeking His loving illumination.
Pray: “Dear Jesus, thank you for your loving instruction and counsel. I pray that they will remind me each day to seek your presence and voice in my life. In your name, Amen.”
